Doxroom is an internationalized, improved, Linux-specific adaptation of Boxroom, a Ruby on Rails web application to manage and publish files online. It was created to provide a simple document management solution for personal use and little organizations. Documents can be searched for content, previewed, tagged, subject to access control.
Status of the project is alpha (usable, mostly complete, lacks tests).
Doxroom is free software (some MIT licensed, some GPL; my code is released under GPL v2 or any later, and it can be redistributed under the AGPLv3) too.
Doxroom è stato sviluppato da un italiano ed è già quasi completamente tradotto. Essendo un'applicazione client/server mi aspetto che chi la installa conosca l'inglese, mentre è facile che la documentazione utente venga prodotta anche in italiano.
Update: I suggest getting the development snapshots: they got rid of navigation choices made in 1.0a3, added some features.

Beta status has not been reached yet: in this release features were added to improve navigation, generation of download links, and activity reporting. They are not yet tested in all configurations doxroom is capable of working with. New CSS stylesheet. This release is Rails 2.1.0 compatible. New navigation might be annoying. Set your browser to activate (jump to) new opened tabs.
It was reported to me that users' parameters in user.rb are vulnerable to an injection attack. Fixed in today's git release.
Second public release to address a CSS issue with internet explorer. Next release will focus on refactoring, testing browsers compatibility, adding tests and API/user documentation.
